Shotgun fired accidently!!!

Here's an epilogue to the accidentally fired post:

Replaced the firing pin spring - apparently this was the problem. Where does it explain in the gun manual to replace this after X many shells? Sent a note to Browning over a month ago and have not heard from them...and probably never will!

Sorry but failure of a spring is impossible to predict. I think your holding the fire to Browning's feet on this is not justified. Mechanical things ware out and need parts and service at some time over their life time. Where does it say in your car's owners manual that the rings on the pistons will need replacing on a given mileage? It doesn't..nothing lasts forever.
