SD Resident opener

Dad and I got out this weekend for the SD resident opener. Saturday was a little tough going, hunted a large track of grass and didn't get up anything but hens and then went to a tree belt and ended up with 4 roosters. We called it a day after that (about 3pm) it turns out we're not in as good of shape as we thought! :) Saturday was much better, we went to a public spot that had corn on it and joined about 5 guys that were there to hunt it.. We had our 6 birds by about 1:30 and they were still banging away! All in all and great pre-season tune up! Late season is going to be outstanding this year!!

AWESOME post!!! Thanks for the story and most importantly the pictures. I have a back injury and cannot hunt at all this year so I am sitting in the la-z-boy living my hunts thru all of you. Thanks again.
