Well I got back last night from my 9 day hunt and happy to report we filled almost every day! My groups ranged from 14-2 guys all week and except for Tuesday (rain) we had outstanding luck! Like I've said before, the late season is going to be unreal! The area we hunted had almost nothing harvested yet and as wet as the feilds are it won't be for sometime yet. Hope everyone had good hunting last week as well.

All private SD land, it wasn't a cakewalk this year like it was the past few, we hunted hard every day. We seemed to have the best luck in the thicker cover and the tree belts.


Thanks UGUIDE, for me it's all about the family and friends getting together and having a good time in the field, the roosters are just a bonus! I always insist on pictures, I get razed some times but those same guys that raz me are asking for a copy a week or so after the hunt! Every hunt to me is special no matter what the game, and I like to look back and remember every one, and pictures sure help with that....
 
FYI.... This is one of my favorite pics from the week, nothing better then good guns, laid over good birds, on a great day!

The true SD pheasant hunting experience!
Planning to be in the field this Friday 10 AM. Can't wait to see that first rooster burst from the cover!!
 
Looks like you found the "motherload" of birds out there. Great pictures !!! Nice looking group of pheasant hunters. Thanks for the report.
