Well, I spent the last 10 days hunting about anything I could! West river deer, archery deer, East river deer and roosters in between. The deer hunting was a little rough, out west we didn't see hardly what we have in the past and of the 8 guys we only took 3 deer. The pheasant numbers seem to be good west of the river though, we saw plenty of them from Pierre to Faith but we left the shotguns home. No luck in the tree stand yet, but we did find a few nice deer east river rifle. The bird numbers we saw over the weekend with the snow was unreal! Most farmers have gotten all the crops out and most have the cornfields and sunflower stubble disked under and any of the remaining cover was just loaded with roosters! Late season should be outstanding!

(My west river buck, it wasn't easy hunting but I got lucky)
(My east river buck, this picture does nothing for him, he's 21" wide and has 6" bases... He was a hog! 210lbs gutted!)
(Last Sundays harvest, 2 bucks, 1 doe, 2 coyotes, 6 roosters and 3 grouse... Great day!)
