hi guys,I currently have a 3.5 yearold English Pointer male and I kennel him in a supernice 10x6 kennel while i'm gone at work or sometimes at night, Question would be could I keep a new puppy in the same kennel with my older male?

Thanks Victor

I wouldn't do it, it will make it more difficult for you to bond properly with pup as he may bond to your older dog causing "whos the boss problems". Crate training will also suffer. Once pup gets a bit older they certainly can be togather...say 5 months or so.

I just got a new pup on the 18th of this month. I let him go in the kennel with Tony. But I keep it to just a few hours for now. I would not try for an all day at work or that sort of stuff........Bob

I have two males that get along great most of the time. But every know and then one of them gets a case of the ass and tears into the other one. I would not want them kenneled up together when that happens. I have a friend who has two females that do the same thing on a rare occasion.

I would not until the pup was the same weight as the older dog and has burned off that annouying puppy in he face behaivor.

Nope. Costs less to separate them than to sew them up. Especially opening morning(no, not going to explain how I know this)
