looks like we might have to think about wet hunting conditions. haven't had to worry about that for a few years

How is it west of Hays?

Horrible. Can't drive down any of the back roads. Roads still closed. Rained on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and rained early this morning. Now the snow is coming. With the cold temps roads won't dry out.

Yikes! We are not heading that way until Thanksgiving. Hopefully it will have settled out by then. We have a cabin in Cedar Bluff State Park for the week after T-day.
How's the predictions for this year? I have the PF reports calling out about the same as last year.

Down a little from last year. Lots of spotty hail.

it's a long ways from opening day........better to stay off the dirt roads and not rut them up......farmers need to get in their fields to combine, probably take at least 3-4 days to dry up.

It is going to take longer than that. Lots of standing water in fields. Some will have to re-drill wheat and some had not even planted yet. Still have standing corn and milo as well.

how is the drying out?
