Report from hunters

Had a guy with 3 young boys in tow stop Saturday and ask to hunt---lets see the SD Youth Season was on--he had young hunters a good lab and has hunted here before--so no brainer. He called me tonight to thank me and report on what they found.
They hunted 3 different fields over about 4 hours and took a few birds--seems they don't have the experience in the shooting skills yet. One field they flushed over " 40 roosters " seems they were crossing a small corner of a bean field headed for a shelter belt and got caught totally unready --gee that never happened to me.:D

So bottom line was I asked him--you hunted here last year 4 times---do we have more or less birds this year---the answer was "I saw more birds SATURDAY then in all of LAST YEAR.":D:thumbsup:

The bean field they cut across and jumped all the roosters --well it went into the bin today.:)

Jim, the way you manage your land.
There will always be lots of wild pheasants.
Thanks for sharing the report and thanks sharing with the young hunters.

Thank you!

Glad to hear your bird numbers are up!

Thank you for allowing those boys and their dad to "make a memory" at your place. Great people like you allow the sport of pheasant hunting to continue!:)

That's a good report, Jim, and even more importantly, a tremendous experience for the boys. Thank you.
