Recording Harvest Numbers

Does anyone keep record of the number of pheasants you harvest each season?

I did this 2009 - 2011 but then didn't until I started again this year. I have an Excel spreadsheet that I set up with the date, where I hunted and number of birds harvested. 8 and counting so far this year. I had forgotten that 2010 was such a good year. I took 84 roosters that year.

I usually write the totals for each field on my land atlas. I'm an out of stater so it's alot easier...

I keep a journal, have since 1980. When who (hunters and dogs), where, weather and what not.

84 George? Good lord! I've probably only shot 40 or so in my entire hunting career.:cheers:

Oddly enough 2010 was a very good year out here too if memory serves me right.

Wife purchased beautiful leather bound journal for me many years ago. I have tried to document kill #'s, location, weather and people who joined me. Some years I do a better job of journaling than others. And yes, looking back we had some really good seasons in 2006-2010!!!
