I am looking for some advice about decent recommendations for feed for quail. I have a Johnny house with 8 bob whites in it. The issue that I am having is whenever the feed gets wet from the rain, it immediately gets gummy and moldy. I am looking for recommendations of food that won’t immediately get ruined in rain but also offers the recommended protein value. Thank you

Always fed my johnny house birds Purina layena, and used weather proof feeder tubes.

You should be feeding game bird or show bird feed. It has everything the normal farm bird feed doesn't have. I put the food up high and the water down low. Keeps them from sitting in it and keeps it dry. Also it keeps them flying up to get food so conditions them better.
