Recommendation on bird launcher

I'm going to get a couple of remote launchers, quail/pigeon size and was wondering what everyone is using. Pros and cons of each.

I've heard dogtra is the way to go. That's what my e collars are and I've been pleased with them.

Also, with the manual launchers how does everyone do it by themselves? Is there a long cord or do you add one or what?

I've had zero experience with launchers so this will all be new stuff to me.

Have both dogta and.tri-tronic remotes....both excellent..prefer tri-tronic...but thats just me..pleased with both

I have two of the Lion County Supply launchers. They are less expensive, but the range of the transmitter is not real far,

Have the DTs. While I like the design of them, I have had issues with the remote itself and had to send it back to get it fixed. My problem isn't isolated as several other people on the boards have had their issues. My girlfriend bought a set from them and same thing. But when they work, they are great.

I've made a manual launcher into a remote launcher. Turned out to be the most reliable launcher I had. The problem is that the range was terrible. Like I had to be wtihin ten or twenty yards for it to trigger. But worked alright.

Before I did that, I used a string. That sucks.
String to get tangled up, you need a helper, if you pull the wrong way you can knock over the launcher, launching the bird along the ground, if it launches at all, etc.etc.

What is the approximate range of the LC launchers? Dogtra claims I believe 700 yards. Mostly going to be used for my pointer pups but when I have no helpers with my labs I could use them for my bird boys maybe. If they got 2-300 yards that would be great for marks.

New batteries, good line of sight maybe 150 yards.
