Rain!!!

We need some. Barely enough to settle the dust here. Mushroom season is quickly going in the tank with the lack of moisture.
 
Everyone stay safe! Skeptical for Western Kansas though for much moisture. Keeping fingers crossed. Low Pressure moving to far North for me to get much. Eastern plains and Mountains getting some. Mountains may get a foot of the white stuff. Crested butte is re opening for the weekend for skiing. Looks like a better pattern setting up for the next few weeks for Kansas. Otherwise, we should get some of you guy's to come up and invade us for some Blue Grouse hunting this fall!!!!!

I am going to get out that way and hunt some Blues - both Grouse and Quail.
Not had the chance to hunt them yet.

It could be an amazing Blue Grouse season this fall!:cheers:
 
nothing here yet! Pretty much going to go over us and fall 30-60 miles east of us. Western Kansas is dry. I sure hope it happens, but it will not be like what the eastern half will get. Fingers crossed. We are getting the wind!!!
 
We've had .64 this week in 5 events. That brings us up to .75 for the month, still 1.73 below normal for April. We've had 2.2 for the year, that's behind the normal of 5.51 through April. Keep it coming!
 
Western Kansas or Western half from top to bottom needs rain bad or Wheat crop is crap again and we know what that means. C'Mon Rain!!!!
 
3.5 at my house. Just a little Southeast of Manhattan must have gotten more. Many fields were flooded, as were parts of Zeandale road. I saw one car had hydroplaned off the road, went into the plowed field, and sunk up above the wheels in slop. The creeks and rivers are really rolling!

I didn't get as much at my farm south of I-70. Was hoping to see a full pond.
The water only came up 2-3".

I hope you get the rain you need. My little farm is about 30 miles East of Manhattan, and I suspect my little mud road will be a bit dicey for quite a while. Last time we got rain like this I found a full set of floor mats half-buried in the mud. But the vehicle was gone, so it must have worked out for them... :laugh:
