This am I saw 10 to12, chicks following moma, shoot across the road, in front of my truck, bring up the rear was pop. Seem a bit early, but I'll take it.

How about you all?? Seeing any chicks yet??
 
You win this year Jmac.:cheers: No chicks yet but I'm not seeing any hens anymore so I assume they're on the nest.
 
I talked to Game and Fish Biologist O'dell, this am and he stated he first saw gambels chicks April 16th. That's very Early :eek: Hope the lack of Rain down here doesn't effect the little buggers. There seems to be a good amount of Grasshoppers around so maybe there is hope.:)

man everything is early this year. We are looking good so far here in regards to nesting conditions, but it's still a long way till season opener.
 
Okie,

Yes it's along ways away. However last year we had no rain and chicks deid after 1st and 2nd hatches. This year we have had a little more rain and alot more insects. We still need more rain. I see there is a slight chance later this week. I'll keep my fingers crossed.:)
