Quail calls

I don't normally use a call, though there is usually one floating around in my vest, but these handmade calls are just too cool for me not to have a couple. I thought maybe you guys might enjoy one too.

Well, true to my addiction for hunting stuff and hand made stuff I ordered three calls today. Really nice guy making them and we chatted for about ten minutes about all things quail.:cheers:

Got my calls today and they are beautiful, especially the creosote call (in the middle). Jim Matthews also wrote me a personal letter describing the calls and how to care for them. I'm very pleased, I can't wait to get out and try them.

Before scrolling down to see that you purchased your calls from Jim Matthews, I was going to suggest that you contact him. Jim is a good guy who does a good job with his calls and newsletter for bird hunters.

Not yet except for calling covies while at work, they sound great and each of the three have a little different pitch from Low to high.
