Public Access to Habitat

[Golden Hour]

Received an email that was encouraging. PF in conjunction with OnX, SDGFP, et al, has enrolled 11,000+ acres of public access. I'm excited to see where these parcels are at and the hunting opportunities the present. Now if PF could just stop flaunting the flare nares in our faces...

I can almost guarantee they won't be within 2 hours of my house, or if they are, they'll look like a herd of sheep had their way with it.

I called the pheasant tourism guy in SD yesterday asking about lodging options, told him number of guys in our group, # of dogs etc. Then he asks, do you want to hunt with a guide at a hunting lodge? I spit out real quick, "no we don't want to shoot pen reared birds." He gave a little chuckle at that comment. Nice guy. Gave me some good info, but nothing new if you've been following along on this forum for any length of time.
