Pratt Area

Have not been to Kansas in two years. How will the bird population be pheasant/quail, in this area?

It's been hot and dry down there for 2 years now. I'd advise looking at somewhere else in the state.

I live in Pratt. It's pretty bare out here. Last year was horrible. This year was dry again as well. I'm not looking for it to be good. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm in Pratt also. I am not pleased with the number of birds I have been seeing. Last season was terrible and I think we are in for a repeat.

yeah, well........it's about 1100 miles each way from FTW. tough drive, would rather hunt Kansas, but not last season, nor this one either.

I'm hoping to head north as well. Never hunted South Dakota, but it sure looks better than Kansas this year.

I'm 22 miles east of Pratt and only 10 miles east of the county line. I wouldn't head here for anything! We're about 10 inches behind on rain and had about 35 days over 100 to boot! Not much to brag about or look forward to.
