Thanks Point! The main downside of my job is that it isn't ALL habitat. Too frequently my priorities either come from the outside or are those "fixed" tasks that just have to be done on a property that sees 90,000 sets of feet each year. NEVER worry about coming by unannounced! Having someone I communicate with on here stop by and give comment on my management is always a positive. I won't get kudos from everyone. Everyone won't understand or accept my management strategy. That doesn't mean that their perspective isn't valuable to me. I try to communicate with other managers across the state and stay innovative. I see problems with other areas as well as my own and with more $ and help, I could do more about it. That may never happen in my career. Things have improved on both fronts long term, but short term someone has cut our help in half and that has really put the brakes on. I'm hoping that we get by that and I can once again get into overdrive. The last couple of years have seen some big projects on the area. That cuts into the habitat strides I can make. Fortunately, the drought redirected my scope anyway, giving me time for these unexpected and important projects! I'm glad you found birds and appreciate your comments!!!
