My 14 year old son bagged his first wild pheasant on some public land in northern MO. Could have had a couple quail, but learned the hard way those things have some speed to them! Great hunt! We can’t wait to get back out there.

You know the crazy thing is we realized the other day that he shot that bird on the same day I shot my first wild pheasant (13 years earlier) on the same piece of public land. So that place has a special place in my heart. I have to travel this weekend for a kids soccer tournament, but I'll be back out there the following weekend. I hope everyone is enjoying the season. Maybe I'll see you guys out there!

Very cool pictures. I love my Viszlas and their docked tails but it sure is majestic seeing those tails pointed skyward as they are zeroed on the bird. Thanks for sharing!

Hey guys, this bird was shot in SD last weekend but being a Missourian I figured I’d share it with you all on this page too. After doing a pretty strategic push on a field we ended up on the road talking. I noticed we had 5 minutes left of shooting time and thought the 100 yard narrow section could of have had birds run into it. Well 50 yards into it I learned I was right and bagged a pretty unique bird the farmer said he’s been watching for the last couple years. Great way to finish my SD season! Good luck the remaining 3.5 weeks of MO’s season!
