A very popular pheasant hunting area is under attack. This is a very serious matter. Please sign the petition to show your support.
Due to the complaint of one landowner. The PGC has been restricted in stocking pheasants on over 150 acres on Game Lands 226. This area is in addition to the law required 150 yard safety zone. This restriction is creating a real safety hazard by concentrating hunters on already crowded land. This is a real risk unlike the landowners imagined risk. If this is allowed to stand, it sets a precedent for other landowners across the state. The landowner bought 2 acres and a house right in the middle of the gameland and now is trying to restrict hunting opportunities. The correct course for this landowner is to simply move. Bird stocking has been at this location for decades. Hunters should not be restricted due to this landowner's lack of due diligence before buying the property. Please sign and share.
