Pheasant gun specific

Oh Yeah,... I have have been lusting for one of those pretty bad, thanks for the report:10sign:. I have had 2 golds and 2 benelli's. If they made a 20ga. I would have bought sight unseen. Has anyone heard of the 20ga. on the way?

Pheasant Gun

I just bought a new to me Beretta SV10 Perennia III in 12 guage for pheasants. I really like it so far. The only negative thing so far is I checked out the promo video on Beretta International. I guess the target market was really good looking europeans whom all sling their sv10 across their back until their world class pointer finds a bird. I would also say that by Berettas standards I am really underdressed for the occasion. I can't believe they think it is a good idea to sling an o/u,

I had that same OU for a while and it was wonderful. The only reason I moved away from it was I couldn't get double triggers installed like on a Beretta 686 or 687.

Right now I'm working on a "pheasant specific" OU, and it's a 12 gauge Beretta 686 Onyx with the double-triggers installed. I had the barrels backbored and the next step is to convert the pistol grip to a very relaxed round-knob grip and have the stock adjusted to my fit specs. I'm a tinkerer. ;)

For the meantime, I've been whacking birds with my A5. It works well.

I bought a Beretta 686 Onyx Pro 3.5" 12ga earlier this summer. Haven't killed a thing with it. I did shoot maybe 10 rounds of Trap with it though. I could see it as a pheasant gun on certain days.

R&R...sounds like your having a lot of fun messing with your stacked barrel friend. Enjoy!:10sign:

Go to gun

Benelli M2 Field, black comp. stock. Nothing fancy. Just a workhorse. Fiocchi 3inch 5s for pheasants when I can hit them. I like it better than my Rem. Express, though.

Ruger Red Label 12g OU with Federal Prarie Storm #6. I do like to change to a Rem 11-87 Premier 20g from time to time.

RBL 16 gauge, sxs, 29-inch barrels, a bit heavier than some upland guns but good for handling and absorbing hot loads such as Fiocchi''s Golden Pheasant (also good for preseason clays practice)....Built in 2009 so completely steel and nontoxic compatible.

Nothing says pheasant hunting to me more than walking in the field with a 16 gauge in your hands.
