PF Magazine season preview

I was looking through the most recent PF magazine I got in the mail and I noticed something. Look at the picture on page 24 and the description. What is wrong with it? I guess there was a reason it looked familiar.

I noticed the same thing.Looks like your doing your detective work...I'm going to have to be careful with my photo,s!;):thumbsup:
 
I think I know what's wrong with it! "public hunting in Illinois". No such thing:D

Honestly, what's the deal with the picture/description? I'm not catching it.
 
The picture is of a state game lands in Pennsylvania, not Illionis. It's one in Adams county that I hunt on during the year. If you look at the brown sign in the picture you can see the shape of Pa and at the top is says SGL 249.
 
FLDBRED, I don't think I have hunted in your areas before. So I don't think you have to worry about me finding your best spots. But to be on the safe side you should send me a list of all you best places and I'll let you know if I'm familiar with it. GPS coordinates will be fine.:D

LOL. Now it all makes sense. I was looking at the high acreage on the sign.:confused: I was wondering where anything like that is open to the public here in Illinois.
 
Public Hunting

There is another boo- boo on page 46. It is an article on the Venerable Remington 870. Look at the picture in the upper right of the page. The guy is holding a left-handed EXPRESS, not a Wingmaster as they are quoting. I have had several left-hand Remingtons over the years, including an 1100, two 870 Wingmasters, and an 1187 Premier, so I know what I am talking about. So much for responsible journalism and proof reading before going to press, huh?

I'm sure it is a little difficult to keep track of the pictures from everywhere. Good habitat pictures from Illinois probably look the same as good habitat pics from Pa. I didn't notice the gun, though. Since I've never handled either one it's not something I would have noticed.
 
How do you get a PF magazine???? LOL!! Guess I need to call my local chapter and ask why I do not get them!!!!

You should get the magazine in the mail if you belong to pheasants forever. If you don't get it, contact the national office.
