Perfect Day

Yesterday was a work day on my habitat---so no hunting no gun. :D

Yep go figure--everywhere I went I ran into birds and lots of roosters, that along with the really great weather made for a very nice day. :)

Best of all as the sun was setting I got up to go stand on the back deck of the house to take in the sun set--no jacket as it was T-shirt weather-- yep it had to be, as I walked onto the deck a mature rooster flushed just 30 feet away out of this summers garden----IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS--- A perfect ending to a near perfect day--I am truly blessed;)

Man, it is hard enough to get work done with this forum just a click away...but if I had birds off my porch steps I would never get anything done:eek:
Sounds like a great day! Keep up the good work:10sign:

Jim, I seen almost the same thing as you yesterday. All the birds slept in it seemed yesterday morning, as I drove from sunrise till 9:34 till I seen my first pheasant. Then, on my meandering way back to town, they were literally everywhere on the road and in the ditch.. Ive put alot of miles on this year, but this was by far the most birds I seen on the roads, and this was mid afternoon..

You are indeed a blessed man! Just read your thread about it being so cold and the snow as well, but you are still a blessed man Jim. I'm having a bit of knee surgery next Friday in hopes of being in better shape next year!

 You are fortunate and blessed, as are the pheasants for having folks like you Jim that truly understand and care about making a difference with habitat and preserving something that is such a treasure. I don't always think things like that rooster flushing for you right at sunset out of your garden is always just a coincidence either...
