Went out early to local public land to see if we could hit some ducks and then switch pheasants at 8:00. All the duck activity was in and out before shooting hours. And sure enough all the pheasants flying around moved into the adjacent standing corn between 7:00 and 8:00.

We Only had an hour to walk the upland area but saw a few birds, hens and roosters. Got one shot off. Happend to be the largest pheasant I've ever downed.
