# of hunters per truck?

Truckload Ethos

OK, I need a clarification. So I'm prepared socially and don't eat with the wrong fork so to speak. If your sitting three across in the front seat, and your buddy shoots across your lap at a ditch rooster, which has been driven there by a farmer driving a combine, and after you clear the cobwebs from the muzzle blast, you stagger out of the car and retrieve the stricken rooster.... is that party hunting?..... or using a motorized conveyance to assit in harvesting wildlife... or just plain darn good luck! Just kidding everybody, but Ranger Rick and Moellermd should get a laugh!!!!

I have found that if you have more than 3 in a seat it makes it difficult for the guy in the middle to shoot birds out the window while road hunting. Might even be a little unsafe and awful load.

Sounds like you need a sunroof

In my Tahoe, two hunters and two dogs works great. Can fit another hunter in, but then we have to put our hunting hats on the dash.

Ya Moellermd, I hate that muzzle blast right in my ear. No more than 2 in my truck.
It's vital that the middle man be shooting a double, or if not that an Ithaca 37 pump; automatics throw hulls in the face of the shotgun-seat guy and distract HIS shooting. It's just common courtesy!

Better yet, driving the ditches at night in Ted Nugent's truck, the aircraft landing lights aligned on the roof, lighting the trail ahead. Some years ago, Ted had a truck outfitted with the lights he guaranteed to burn retinas at a half mile.

Typically we are 2 to a truck, but sometimes conditions dictate that be bumped to 3 or 4. Last year got out there and 2 guys were in a 2wd and muddy roads, we ended up parking them and had 5 in the crew cab. Definitely crowded between guns, duffels, coolers, and dogs.
