Northeast Montana winter

This article on the tough winter for wildlife in NE Montana may interest some of you. If you were planning to hunt there for antelope or deer you might want to reconsider. Too early to tell for upland gamebirds.

WOW BC that suck, I thought we had it bad. I have never seen anything like that. I wish your critters the best out there. Maybe this was just isolated and the harvest will be bountiful for you guy's.

yikes! thats very unfortunate. hate to see anything have to suffer especially from weather, but thats mother nature. stuff like this happens. theres nothing we can do.

Tough deal for sure. Always hate thinking about hard winters but it's all part of the cycle.

NE MT is getting some nice mid Feb weather.
I got an email from a friend from Roosevelt County around the 1st of Feb. At that time the CRP was totally snow covered, no bare ground, wheat stubble under 2 feet of snow.
He has good shelter around the buildings and grain bins, feeding grain screenings to the deer and pheasants.
