Just when you thought it was over!!!!!!

the NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JUST POSTED A WINTER STORM WATCH FOR THUR-SAT. for all of western SD and accross the state into the western third of the east half of SD. this will include lots of really good pheasant country 6 inches plus of HEAVY WET SNOW along with 30+ mph winds

The birds should be fine, if they made it through the winter they will make it through a baby storm like this
 
I agree. Birds will do OK and I am seeing a bunch of em. Benn at the farm all week and go all CRP and food plot prep done so just hunkering down for this last winter storm of 6-10 inches of snow. The moisture held off later than expected and gave me 2 more days to get field work done.
 
Winner area has recieved about 8" of snow so far. Just to the east in Platte it sounds like just rain, but almost 2".

Tail end of the strom here as the sun just broke out. So the Platte area should be ok in about 10 hrs or so. LOL:D
