new to the site

Hello all hunters i'm new to the site but not to hunting. I love to pheasant, quail, and chicken hunt. I live in the KC area and hunt in Neb and Ks. This year a lot more Neb than Ks do to the bird numbers. I have 3 wirehairs and enjoy nothing better than good dog work. Some call me crazy but I will not shoot a bird unless pointed. I have read the post for the last month and there are many I would like to comment on and will. I try to get out every weekend but this weekend I may take a break as I went to Neb wed then down to Ks for the opener and didn't get back until sun. Or I may run to Se neb for sat quail hunting. This is the bird report all give I've hunted neb 6 days so far this year shot limit of pheasant 4 of those days 2 of which were opening weekend. All but 1 day was west of 81 ran up north to se neb hot and windy the second weekend hunted until noon not thinking we would see much moved 4 coveys don't know if we got lucky or if se neb is better than reported. I've hunted NC Ks opening day for over 20 years the birds are down 60 to 75 percent from last year fields that had 100 birds last year have 20 to 30 or even worse. I've seen years worse than this in Ks many times it goes in cycles. Its going to be a long season and if you want to kill many your going to have to drive and drive. I will be putting a lot of miles on the truck this year. Hunting season is only once a year and when its here i'm going hunting. Its what I live for, what my dogs live for, and what I save my money for. Well I've probably said too much already but I look forward to visiting with some of you and getting to know you.
