New Tires: Falken Rubitrek?

We all have interests. I also drive 15 hrs one way on trips. I just illustrated I make my living with my truck. In extreme bean and corn stubble, across old fence rows on the regular pulling heavy loads. Tires matter…just not that much.

Maybe a tangent, but I just put on K03's. Put 70k miles on my KO2's, loved them even though they weren't great on wet/snow towards the end.

The KO3's will not balance. Rebalanced twice in 30 days. Over 60mph there's noticeable shake. Over 70mph your teeth rattle.

After googling, it's a known issue (with the 2's and 3's).

Might warranty them, BFG gives you 60 days.

Ah hell I’m the one got off on the tangent. This thread did make me look at my truck shoes. MasterCraft Courser Trail HD’s. Carry on

Falken Wildpeak AT4w went to a harder rubber so they last longer, so they are not as good in the snow as the AT3w. If you dont need mud traction I highly recommend the Continental TerrianContact HT. They are excellent on any condition on the road.

I read that Falken redesigned it to be a heavier tire for fleet use. I really liked the AT3W. I put Continental's on my daughter's Jeep Wrangler.

I'm getting ready to replace my Falken Wildpeaks. They are at 5/32 but the noise on the highway is unbearable. I still get great gas mileage but hate the noise. They weren't loud until I got down to about 7/32. Anyway I am going with the Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail® AT. If you do the research they are about the best rated tire to get. And mine are going to be free from Sams Club. I have over a $1000 in club points/cash to cover the total cost.

You will like those.....I have them on my RAM 1500. They are good in snow, ice, mud, rain, gravel and highway.
They do have some noise to them, well at least compared to a stock road tire that came on the truck originally, but nothing that is unbearable.

Good choice I’m on 2nd set, never had a flat!

Update on the Nokian Outpost N AT tires: I really like these tires. I have put several thousand miles on them since August. I just drove over 3,300 miles on a hunting trip in my Chevy Colorado this month and got over 22 miles per gallon on the trip, including highway, city, towns and trails. I drove on dry, wet, gravel and muddy roads and trails without any issues, slipping etc. The mud and gravel clear out pretty well. The tires are quiet....at least I don't notice them if that's important to you. I will be testing them on on snow and icy roads soon enough but right now, I would purchase these tires again without any hesitation.
Another quick follow up. We got several inches of snow with single digit temps. It's nice and slick out there. Since I got nothing better to do and I wanted to see how the tires would do on snowy...icy roads I hopped in my truck and drove about 50 miles. Some back roads... a little highway....stopped in Scheels and drove another 25 miles back home. Simply put, these tires are awesome on winter roads. I did quick stops, accelerated through turns, went up and down some steeper hills arounds here and came away impressed. I highly recommend these tires.
