Darwin and I just got in from a New Year's eve hunt on a club. And as thrilled as we are to now be headed out to clean a couple pheasant roosters, we're equally pleased to find that we are now official members of this forum. Have been lurking off and on for a couple years, but need to network with some other bird dog people and this forum seemed like just the place.

Yours truly is too-many years old, lives in the Sierra Foothills of northern cal. My current hunting companion is a 13 month old black lab by the name of Darwin. We're still hopeful that he will evolve into a hunting dog.

Welcome to our wonderful site. How far north are you? I'm from Madera (just north of Fresno) but spend some time north of Yuba city each year chasing roosters.

I've had the pleasure of reading some of your posts. Hope to see you afield some day.

I'm up in the foothills, not far from Grass Valley - not far from Yuba City. I usually hunt the refuges (Gray Lodge mostly) and a few of the clubs. Used to have access to some other private land but alas, no more.
 
Ok I think I know the area, I have an uncle who lives in Oregon house.
 
Welcome to the site. I used to live in Auburn, worked at Darkhorse. I loved living there, even used to hunt quail around the course. My wife and I sure miss the weather, the people and the food back there. But the hunting is much better back in KS.
