New member from western MN

Long time pheasant hunter who has hunted a bunch of states. I have two 16-year-old boys who love to hunt as well. Typically hunt MN and ND now for roos. We manage a couple of pieces of land in western MN for wildlife, mostly deer and pheasants. Active in PF and a local conservation organization that does a lot of youth activities. I enjoy hunting forums and am active in a couple and a mod on one. Looking forward to exploring this group!

Gotta run out today to one of our properties as we have a weed that is right in front of a trail camera and as it blows in the wind, the camera is taking pictures.

I've experienced that "grass blowing in the wind" issue in front a camera before too. Had 500+ photos of nothing but grass.

I like that area. Far less hunting pressure than further south and still plenty of birds to put in the bag.

have dog. singular. yellow lab. she is awesome on ducks and pheasants. But, as all dogs have idiosyncrasies, she wants nothing to do with geese. Since we don't hunt geese very much, it doesnt bother me. humorous actually when she gets all excited to retrieve the bird. you can literally tell when she realizes it is a goose and turns up her nose at it.
