New LL Bean Boot

Mixed reviews over on UJ. Doesn't matter though. They're backordered until Jan.

I was told the samething, called back first of oct. and they had more boots ( and in my size). had mine for 2 wks and really like them so far

llbean Tech boots.

I guess I was lucky? I got a pair and they are pretty cool. My feet don't get wet, they are very comfortable, they are light weight, and, they are really easy to get on and off with the fancy lacing system. It also makes them quick to adjust while they are on your feet. I will buy them again.

I hope that fancy lacing system holds up, it's looks like the weak link

The BOA lacing system has been used on snowboard boots, cycling shoes, and some track shoes for over 15 years. My son had a set of snowboard boots with this system and used them for 3 years, until he outgrew them and sold them, and never had a problem. They are made of coated stainless steel cable. My hunting boots usually last about 2 or 3 seasons. I walk a lot. :D

So I had seen a write up on these boots in the PF magazine and thought I would check them out on the LL Bean site and I can't find them. The link in the earlier email does not work and I searched through all of the boots on their site. I wonder if they have stopped selling them? They looked like a great boot!

I called customer service at LL Bean and was told they are not available. They have been X'd out on their system. He said marketing does that he had no idea if they would be available again. Seems strange to me. If they were behind in production and couldn't keep up with orders you would think they would leave the product on their site and indicate an availablility date. Looks to me like they have discontinued it.
