Hey guys,
Here from chicago but spend most of my time in Wisconsin pheasant hunting.
Want to get out to South Dakota or Kansas next year but finding something affordable is a p.i.t.a.
Be checking in from time to time.......

Welcome to UPH, Hope to see you more often than from time to time. We have a good group here with alot of info. You could learn something new almost daily.........Bob

Welcome to the site!

As far as affordable hunting, both South Dakota and Kansas have decent amounts of public land and walk-in areas. Granted you may not see the hundreds of birds you would on private land, but you can still have a productive hunt if you have good dogs and are willing to put in the miles walking.

Actually i live about 5 minutes outside the city limits and i dont hide them except in my gun cabinet.
I have a lot of pride being a hunter and not afraid to show it.My neighbors look a little weary when i load up the car to go hunting but screw them.
How does the pheasant season look up in Kansas????

Kansas is looking strong this year for birds. Reports say it will be as good or better than last year and last year was pretty solid. The late wheat harvest and moderate rains with few days of being too hot have help tremendously.

Good Luck!

Welcome to the site Shooter it is good to see a Chicago area person stand up for his principles. Also you might want to think about a walk in hunt to kansas this year I have talk to a lot of the Kansas People here and they had really had some good advice and Kansas have some reasonable hotel prices too.
