Waldo Canyon Fire
Well, I could see the houses going up in flames last night from my roof in Colorado Springs (I live over by Woodmen and Academy). This morning they said at least (probably more) 100 homes lost. Flying W Ranch has burned to the ground. Unreal....
I have been through an F-5 Tornado in OKC back on 3 May 1999, earthquakes in Alaska and even a volcano eruption while up there (Mt. Spurr in 1992).
Wildfires scare the crap out of me though
Prayers to those folks who have been displaced and/or lost their homes and property.
It is only by the grace of God that there have not been any serious injuries or deaths.
Right, burned about 16,000 acres. If any of y'all have been through the Springs on I-25, if you were to look to the West (towards the mining scar) that is all black and burned. Over 32,000 folks evacuated as well.

Cowdog , Retrvrman, sorry to hear the news of the 1 confirmed death and the 8-10 missing! 1 other person missing from the same residence as the confirmed death! I hope that they did not just decided to stay and not heed the evac! Some may have just got caught up! Looking at where the fire burned, it could of been so much worse! Prayers sent!!!
