its a great collar...I have 3 buddies that have them. they are all pretty "tech" savvy guys...I AM NOT...lol I have never messed with one although I have friends that work at Garmin and I used to be on Tri Tronics "pro staff" I stick with the basic collars but the GPS features are well worth the money when your in unfamiliar territory...especially grouse hunting in the north country . Or if you have a really big running dog...its' nice to know where he-she is at all times. my one buddy that bought one lost his dog overnight on a grouse trip and never thought he'd see his pup again...he ordered it the next day
