is there some good hunting in the ne corner of sd dont want your honey hole just a newby to hunting in the dakotas. thanks wi hunter
 
NE South Dakota is a rather large area that would be bound by Hwy. 14 on the south, the Missouri River on the west, ND border on the north and the MN border on the east. The best hunting in that whole area is probably to the W & SW of Aberdeen. If you are talking about the extreme NE corner of the state then the pheasant hunting isn't as good. Perhaps you can define the area you are thinking about a little better and I'll give you my honest opinion.
 
I hunted at a place in Wilmot back in 2006(I think?) that wasn't bad. It was owned by a guy named Darren Mertens. He owns the Ford dealership in Milbank. Very close to border with Minnesota. He was a very nice guy and his guides were great. They worked hard to put us on birds every day and they were very pleasant. I believe it was called Crooked Creek Ranch. The accomodations weren't bad either.
