I have an area of wetlands that I can use, wondering if anyone has tried successfully to introduce sago, arrowhead, japanese millet, wild rice, wild celery. Some of this is a old river cutoff with water from 1-10 foot deep, other areas are dry or somewhat moist, much of the time, but without standing water. I was thinking about perennial type natural foods. Unfortunately no pheasants in the area.

Maybe swamp timothy for the moist areas ducks seem to love it. Fat hen may work in shallow water also.

What was said above is great and yes if you plant it they will come. Especialy the wild rice.:thumbsup: Also get ahold of snails if you dont have them. Mallards and woody's kill them selves over them.
