Mountain Lion Sighting

For you good folk in the Manhattan area a cat was sighted and reported to wildlife and parks today just south of Pot lake #2. It is rumored that the cat was seen watching some horses in a corral. This reported second hand to me so take it for what it is worth.

Been a lot of years since I was at Pott #2. I even convinced my wife to spend a night in the tent there. Bet she wouldn't tonight after the lion sighting.

That's crazy... when I lived in Manhattan I used to take my dog to Pot #2 all the time. On a few occasions I even jumped in the water because it looked so inviting (I even got in "trouble" by the ranger's son once, who lives on the lake). Kinda sad when a nine-year old tells you you're not supposed to be swimming, but I just couldn't help myself.

I must be getting old. And I guess it's been a long time since I was at Pott 2... Last time I fished there, the ranger's kid was running around the bank with his lifejacket on... Which was a good idea for a kid that age unsupervised.

If the mountain lion report is true, I guess I would make sure my kid had more than a lifejacket. Maybe I would get him a pack of dogs and a set of armor...:laugh:
