Headed East on my day off with my lab. He flushed a bunch of hens early. One rooster got up 150 yards away. In the late afternoon he finally found a rooster and third shot took him down.

550 miles of driving....hopefully I get out one more time before the season ends.

How did you make out?

Not certain I hunted smart. Drove to much and my choice of fields (early) were poor.

How did you do?
 
Me and a buddy managed a limit on Monday. It took us until 3:00, but it was a great day. One of the more memorable days in a while.
 
Yeah, that's a cool pic, Chad. Good work. I'm headed out Saturday. Not expecting much, probably try to work stubble. Wish we had some snow....shitty cockbird weather.
