Congrats on the hunts and congrats on the new pup. I also hunt with a GSP, named Kody. Keep getting him in birds and he should develop into a great hunting partner. Again, welcome to this awesome site.......

Just alittle joke on my part Its Apple Valley!

Thanks for clarifying that. I lived in Burnsville for a few years back in the 70's. Interesting that you hunt the Canby/Ivanhoe area. I go over and hunt around Canby a couple times a year with some old high school buddys. Hunting around there was pretty good a few years ago but the past couple have been tough. Just not seeing the number of birds we use to. Let me know if you are out there in that area and maybe we can meet up for a hunt.

Zeb def. will! we have some good pockets of birds in Mn i would say! 3-4 years ago was as good as i have seen it also!I had a co-worker of mine come with me this year and he only hunt's Sd and was superised of how many pheasants we have but you have to drive 2.5+hrs. from the twin cities to get that!

Welcome to the site, these guys just about know everything there is to know. Just a tid bit, when I go elk hunting there is a camp above me that I call Minnesota camp, because the guys that used to hunt it were mostly from Minnesota. Hope you enjoy your GSP. Chad

Welcome. My First GSP (Jack) is now 9. Had labs before him. I echo the others. Try to keep getting him action. The dog is unlike the shotgun. The shotgun can be put away in the offseason. Teh dog needs to continue to get some work.

Andy, Welcome to UPH. Since you are new to this site you should really start your own thread and introduce yourself. Tell us where you live, what kind of dog you have, etc.
