Anyone else make it out in the snow today?

I made it out late today. Hunted 3:30PM TO 4:30pm. Got 1 and missed 1. Pretty action packed hour. The dog had an a great point on the bird we bagged. Only saw 1 other group out, it was nice.

Tomorrow....

Kal, GREAT to see another Golden owner out there!

Heading west a couple hours tomorrow myself to see what we can find in Renville County. I'll be curious to see how far west the snow goes. Looking forward to getting back out there after giving deer hunters their spin.

I hunted near Britton, SD this morning and the weather was nice. Couldn't believe the difference in the weather by the time I stopped to grab a bite in Fairmont, MN about 5:30PM. Would rather have been hunting in the stuff than driving through it.

Nice pics.

I use to love winter. I was a huge snowmobiler, ice fisherman and winter small game hunter. Since I developed a chronic pain syndrome I virtually hate winter. I'll be stuck inside for the next 6 months.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

13" I hear in places, cancled training today by waterville. I am Just going to train here where we got a dusting. It flattened allot of cover I hear, especialy the brome. Even the switch got it because of the heavy nature of the snow. Gosh I am glad we did not get that junk.

Bring on the fluffy white stuff. I love it. You guys are lucky who got some.

Hunted for a few hours this afternoon in central Mn on some puplics. Didn't see much. All of the good cover is flooded. Not much snow from St Cloud west. We need to improve our grassland cover on our public lands, most of it is worthless. Maybe they will start putting some of the Legacy money into it.

Can't speak for where you're talking about but if you make your way south a bit you'll have a new appreciation for Minnesota WMAs/WPAs.

I hear we are going to be in the 40's this week so i am hoping we loose it. I love hunting in snow but i hate what long winters do to the deer and birds

I hunted in Renville County yesterday and they maybe had an inch on the ground but where there wasn't snow it was really wet. The dog and I got two nice roosters off some public land and saw several more. Everything was sitting really hard. We even flushed a turkey in the middle of a switch grass field. Fortunately the dog was hot on our first rooster so I was the only one to have crapped when that big 747 flushed out of the grass.
