I thought I would pass on my experience with these boots on to you all. I bought my first Meindel boots. They are advertised to last forever and feel like broken in right out of the box. They are also sold as being so comfortable that they "walk themselves". The first time out was on an elk hunt with the original foot pads in the boots. I got my first heel blisters since getting out of the Army 35 years ago. So, after putting in some better foot pads in and a few more miles, they are getting broken in. I do like the design and they are getting more and more comfortable each time I wear them.
So, short story long, if you want to try a new boot, these seem to be well constructed and more comfortable then my Danners are with the new in sole.
