I am looking for groups of 1-12 hunters. I have full accomodations, great hunting ground with all wild birds, 8 professionally trained dogs. Call to book your hunt or go to www.birddownlodge.com. Call Jeremy at 605-281-1231. Location is North Central South Dakota.

wow $300 a day. Not for this guy, do not get me wrong might be for some but not me. Can do a 4 day freelance trip for about 1 day at lodge.

Maybe someday money will not be an issue, until then will continue to enjoy knocking on doors and believing in good people granting access to their property. Do not think if someday could afford that I would do if that was the case.

Here is to the "Free Lance Party" the hunters version of the "Tea Party"

Geez dek was hoping u would treat some of us to one of those high $$$ hunts.....:D

That price is for all inclusive hunt. That is bus transportation to the fields, lodging, all 3 meals a day, shells if you need them, and some of the best pheasant hunting you will ever experience.

I agree with Deac, count me in on the "Free Lance Party"

good luck trolling, but this is pretty much a blue collar site with guys who train their own dogs and have hunted pheasants for many seasons.

if you are looking for clients, you might consider dropping your price.

I wonder about "The best pheasant hunt you will ever experience"

Man! There are some pretty experienced bird hunters on this form.:)

Anybody ever think that since this guy is a sponsor of this forum, maybe we should just let him post him offer and if its not something that interests you, then don't say anything. Just my .02

Somewhat an assumption from a new member of 2+ months. I don't own a dog anymore, and don't have any blue shirts with collars. BTW, just turned 70 last week, and plan on another 10 days in the field!

hummmm...hunting without a dog at any age, not so good.

Clarification

Jeremy, looked at your website and I really like the artwork on your logo. I would like clarification on your rates. Your 3 day all inclusive package lists for $1,650 and your "recession buster" is $300 per day including lodging, which if my math is correct is $900 for 3 days. I'm not trying to negotiate, just wondering what the difference is.

This guy is helping pay the freight to keep this place running. Wise up and keep the wise-azz comments to yourselves.

NB

The hunt he is offering is good for some people, I hope this web site helps to put them together. Everyones dollars help SD, good luck this fall and be safe.

Buses to Hunting Fields?

Do hunters actually ride buses to hunting fields? I guess I just did not know about this aspect of the pheasant "business."

Vested Interest?

Just curious: Do you lease your SD land to Birddownlodge who started this thread or are you involved in that venture somehow? We like full disclosure and transparency in this forum.

Doesn't sound quite right to me with good pheasant strategy, but I have seen buses-full & wagonloads of hunters being pulled behind tractors headed out for drop-off & pick-up in red-hot dove fields in TX, with good times of camaraderie & barrel-burning action had by all!!!...I've hosted a little shy of it on a much smaller scale with many Labor Day Wknd father/son dove hunts in the past, and provided a lot of dads & boys with the time of their lives (used to regularly take 500-1000 birds every Labor Day Wknd between us with everybody pretty much limiting out, for years on end)!...Not my style or what I'm looking for at all when it comes to pheasant hunting, but hey last time I checked this is America - it's a free world, to each his own & whatever floats your boat!

Inclusive hunts fill a niche in this sport. There are some hunters who do not have the time available to plan their own hunt or know where to go to do it themselves.

If one has the means to pay for such hunts then let them enjoy it. All hunters are welcome in the field as long as they are responsible and ethical in my opinion.

This is similar to high fence deer hunting here in Texas. Ranchers know what deer they have, where they typically hang out and can put a hunter on a 150+ class trophy for $4,500. To me this holds no interest as it is a "canned" hunt on pen raised deer. So what if the pen is 7,000 acres still it is a pen. However this option saves a hunter/shooter the expense of a lease which with travel, feed, food, etc could easily exceed the cost of the sure thing hunt. To each their own.

BirdDown - Thanks for the hunt package information and the sponsorship of this site:thumbsup:
