Looking for an Older Dog

The following is a post from another web site. The person is in western Wisconsin. Just thought maybe someone on this site could help.

My wife and I have an older friend, (87 years) who just put down his old friend of 14 years. His old friend was a beautiful English Setter.

This friend of ours is a retired outdoor writer who has written for a number of major publications over the years. He is wanting to replace his dog with another hunting dog. Ideally this dog would be a bit older and has been house trained.

Here's another post from the other site.

He is a retired field trialer, and has always had top notch English Setters, and I think that is what he is leaning towards, although he would consider other pointing breeds.

George check this out for an older dog. I know guys here in Spokane that have gotten dogs from the local chapter and are quite happy with them.
