Were you near Litchfield East of Susanville when you saw the pheasants? If so, all is not as it seems::)

I was, right next to honey lake but from the way they looked and acted I'm pretty sure they were wild. Maybe not but I think so. As soon as they saw the truck they hit their bellies and ran.
 
I also talked to a few guys in the Lessen Co PF chapter who said they are doing a lot of projects at honey lake and neighboring private land. Imo the habitat looks great in that area. If I were a pheasant I think I'd rather live and die there than at Gray Lodge.;)
