Look Out Chukars! Update: The Birds Won

Heading to Elko for the chukar partridge opener and getting my ass kicked again. Tough hunting. But now I'm too old to climb, so I'll be looking for birds in the sage brush. A bonus in Elko is the Star restaurant. A picon or two in the bar and then roasted meat assisted south with a tasty red hits the spot. For the younger, more adventurous types, just down the street are three "Nevada houses." Lock and load!

UPDATE: The birds won again. Got a little fishing in and hung out with old friends. All good.

Chucker hunting, is the most strenuous upland hunting there is!! I've hunted them in Nevada, and it kicked my butt!!

I enjoy the sage country. Desolate and rugged country. Hopefully you didn't pick up anything from your old friends at the Nevada houses... Haha!
