I took Blitz and Champ out today and we hunted for four hours. They each had some points and we moved a few grouse. I only had a shot at one which was a miss. Overall, it was a good day and the dogs worked well.
I stayed closer to home today so I could get back to watch the football games. We moved 15 birds and one was a rooster that I missed. I should have got that bird. I also saw a good number of ducks flying and I saw more doves today than I saw when I hunted in September. I will give it one more try tomorrow before watching the Penn State game.
Today was my last outing with the gun this pheasant season. I will most likely get out to a preserve when I can to get the dogs on some birds but I don't know when that will be. Today had just about everything except for a birds being shot. There were wild flushes, points with relocations, non-productive points, wild flushes, multiple bird flushes and solid points on sitting birds. I saw 7 hens and 2 roosters on the day. It was a beautiful day to be out and the dogs did well. Now, lets go PSU!
From now on I'll take the good camera and get better pictures.
That's a good day. The first half wasn't good..How can you continually be unprepared. Just look at how they get in an out of the huddle. How many times must you burn a timeout because the play can't come in fast enough. It's been like this since he took over. Hoping they can turn it around in the second half.
I couldn't watch the 2nd half. It seems things went better after Hack left the game. I can't watch him throw 100 mph screen passes for int's. Lets home the new OC can change things around.
I love how they never quit..but they need to change things to be more successful. Trace Mcsorley had a better command of the huddle but they need to be more prepared. They move so slowly in and out of the huddle and when they needed to move fast at the end of the game they just couldn't move the ball done the field fast enough. Despite the sanctions they have enough talent to win games like today. The coaching needs to be better..there are no moral victories. Can't wait for next year..We are!
I think things will get better with a QB that fits the style that JF wants to run. And the new OC will make a difference. PSU just doesn't have enough good talent to beat good teams. Here are the recruiting averages from the past several years for UGA and PSU:
2011 UGA #6 PSU #30+
2012 UGA #5 PSU #50+
2013 UGA #10 PSU #24
2014 UGA #9 PSU #24
2015 UGA #8 PSU #14
