I don't know if y'all saw this or not:

I have never hunted them, however I would love to get the chance. It is always a delicate balance. I know where I hunt in SW Kansas, there are wind farms popping up everywhere.

Did they ever do a study to see how those could effect pheasants and other game birds?

Oh wait, it is green energy, so as long as it "green energy" then it is okay and won't harm the environment, right?:mad:

It's worst than you imagine! ANY disruption of the sand-sage prairie, will cause the lesser, greater, sage grouse, to abandon the range. Lesser are known to hit and die on a newly constructed barbwire fence frequently. Have a stout drink, and read the information on the American Grouse conservative site. If you are prone to depression, might want to skip it. With American prairie grouse we are at the line in the sand.

one idea about those windmills is they disturb the wind patterns and air currents on the prairie, one or 2 here or there would not be a problem, dozens
lined up? don't know.
every one of those wind mills has a cooling system built into them, we don't destroy heat energy, we move it from one place to another .if we make heat, heat we move it some where we don't mind it being, the air .
is it dryer and hotter now in eastern co than it was 10 yrs. ago, I'd vote yes
did the wind mills cause it, kinda of a crazy idea

It is interesting to me that Oil and Gas were / are bad for PC, but windmills have little effect. I am yet to see a PC anywhere close to a tall man made structure.

I've been told that when man made structures are built in and around booming leks the birds will abandon their leks. When that happens they wont mate which means no PC chicks.
