Left handed over/unders

I am in the market for an over and under, however, I am left handed. I have shot a right handed citori for years but would like to try a left handed over and under. I have looked at Gunbroker.com and Gunsamerica.com not much out there and the few that are a sporting models with 2.75 chambers. I would like to find a citori or beretta in 12 gauge with 28" barrels. If anyone has on for sale PM me.

Thoughts?

Ceasar Guerini offers all their models with left handed bias upon request. If you prefer to shoot off your right shoulder, you can find a classic british gun with a crossover stock to allow you to sight either central vision or use your dominant left eye, with both eyes open. Most of these are side by sides however.

If I was a lefty and were flush with cash. I would have bought this so fast it would give everybody whiplash. I have a hankering for a Golden Clays sub gauge so bad it isn't even funny.

I hope you find your new shootin iron. I'll keep my eyes out

Merry christmas

What constitutes a left handed O/U. Ive shot right handed guns left handed all; my life. Its never been a factor for me.

Is it just the way the break lever pushes?

Break lever is one difference, but the big issue is "cast on", "or cast off". Which is the slight curvature in the stock to help align your dominant eye. Most guns made for the American market have no such bias, so it's a moot point.

is the safety different?

I haven't seen one with a tang safety/selector that's different from the ordinary, I have seen custom British sxs's that are double trigger guns with the order of the triggers reversed so that the forward trigger is closest to the left hand, and I have seen guns with the barrel selector on the trigger, reversed as well.

Have you thought about getting the stock bent? Should be several places not far from you to get this done.

I haven't priced any lately, but would think less altho some fitting would have to be done unless you know the dimensions you require. Fitting would be good in any event as a proper fitted gun is a joy to shoot. Most of the time we try to fit ourselves to the gun rather than the gun to us. Good luck with it & let us know what you do.

I was looking for a left-hand O/U for some time. I had a chance to shoot a Browning Sporting Hunter with an elevated rib and wow what a difference. It is my understanding that there is no cast in the stock but with the high rib this gun has on it the gun pointed and shot great. They do not make the gun anymore however I was able to find one NIB. The gun is awesome, just gets a little heavy on those long SD trips. Might be worth a look.:)

I get my OU's steam-bent for 150$ (Canadian) each. Not all gunsmiths can do it. First time the gunsmith guided me through some measurements over the phone, and I mailed him the gun. It went OK, but with my latest purchase I brought it to him and got myself measured on-site (same price, but cost me to travel). I *highly* recommend it. The gun now comes to the eye flawlessly compared to right (cast-off) guns that I always had to force against my face to line up the bead.
