Late Planting in Kansas Too

Some fields in Kansas are unplanted too because of rain. Some intended for corn may end up with beans, sunflowers, or even wheat.

Late planting may well become "prevent planting" acres, some of it for the second year in a row. Out west there is still precious little soil moisture, east bracing for near record flood in the Missouri River basin, rivaling 1993. As I write this Hiway 7 from White Cloud, Kansas from there to the Nebraska line just south of Rulo, closed indefinitely due to the backup of the Missouri River.

From what I'm hearing/reading, the Missouri river flooding has only just begun.
As far as the late plantings, it's getting kinda late for corn. Especially that it seems to stay so cool.
Having say a 2 billion bushel short US corn crop would be a problem for everybody.:(
