The amount of birds I saw flying around while deer hunting on various public parcels in east central SD last week was amazing considering the amount of pheasant hunters that have hit those same properties over the past 2 weeks.

You guys need to come to SD & do something about the overabundance of public land roosters. Try as we may, Ace & I can't decimate them by ourselves.

Cattails this year are the thickest I've ever seen. They've been hard on Ace. He's got an owie below his eye that hasn't shown up since 2019.

Weather permitting we'll be headed out in Mid January.. Last time I came that late it was only huntable with snowshoes. Hoping for a little less snow this time.
