Last weekend of the season??

Isn't this weekend the last weekend of the season for roosters? If so, I am going to try and head out Sunday, however if I don't make it, well here is to a good off season of: banquets, training, improving my shooting, spending $$$ on hunting gear, ammo, guns and whatever else I think I need or don't need and I can't wait until 1 September 2012!!!

If sure seems like it comes and goes faster each and every year, doesn't it? Or is it just me....

I hope everyone had a blessed and safe hunting season. Maybe I will see some of y'all at the banquets....take care and meanwhile back at the ranch,

Greg

Heading out Monday. Try to leave me a few birds!;)

I'll be out tuesday, so same for you, dukhunter...:)

Was out last Friday/Saturday...still lots of birds, mostly spooky, and I still can't shoot a lick sometimes. Will definitely pay more attention to wheat bordering grass...both afternoons saw birds crossing between the two.

I got my last chance to get out yesterday in Yuma with my dad in the cold bone chilling wind. Roosters were skittish, but I caught one slipping in a large CRP field. Close shot too. The rest were way out of range. There were still plenty of roosters to be had for your last Hurrah. But you need to try different tactics. The last field we walked about 30 hens came up next to us. No roosters :(. But on a positive note that's good for next year :D. Good luck and be safe out there for your last hurrah!

Scott
